If you suffer from asthma, diabetes, heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or hypertension the practice offers specialised clinics to advice on healthy living and best treatment to maintain your symptoms.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation – what is it?

Aural Care          

Specialist nurses will syringe ears, treat and advice on ear problems.

Cervical Screening         

Smears should be carried out every 3-5 years. If you are due a cervical smear, please speak to one of the reception team.

CVD Risk Assessments

E.C.G.   

A test to measure activity within the heart muscle.

Lung Function  

A special test designed to diagnose chronic bronchitis, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) or emphysema.

Minor Operations          

The practice provides minor surgical procedures under local anaesthetic. These include removal of skin-tags, small cysts and joint injections.

Phlebotomy      

Health care technicians and trained phlebotomist will take blood for testing at the hospital.

Child Health Assessment            

This involves regular assessment of children up to the age of five years old by the health visitor and GP.

NHS Health checks

If you are aged between 40 and 74, haven’t got any long term conditions, are a smoker or have a BMI over 25 then you will be contacted by the surgery to offer this service to you.
